Tammy Sytch: Are the Sunny Days Back Again?
special thanks to 1wrestling.com for the opportunity to have this column published  on the site.

Get out that suntan lotion. We’re ALL in for some Sunny days these next few weeks as WWE prepares to make Tammy Sytch its youngest-ever inductee into the Hall of Fame at the age of just 38. Throughout the 1990’s, I was a huge fan of Sunny, much like any other red-blooded male who watched her on TV. Since the time I started chipping in at Pro Wrestling Illustrated as a Contributing Writer, though, I came to know her on a much more personal level. We were never close friends, but I did have many opportunities to talk to her on a number of different shows, appearances, and conventions over the years. Or, rather … I had always only had the chance to talk to TAMMY SYTCH.

It wasn’t until this past Sunday at a show in Voorhees, New Jersey that I FINALLY got to meet Sunny.

As we all know the WWE Hall of Fame is a difficult thing to get your head around. It is as much as an angle as anything else. The people that are in it that probably don’t deserve to be VS those that should be but aren’t and some that won’t ever be makes the whole thing difficult to gauge when talking about who should and shouldn’t go in. Here is a list of some people that I think have a legitimate claim to being allowed in based on their contributions to wrestling and who most people wouldn’t give a moments thought to. • Upcoming WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch Announced for Super 8

East Coast Wrestling Association, Voorhees, New Jersey–As announced this week by Brady Hicks on the IN THE ROOM podcast on thebradyhicks.com and ECWA official Joe Zanolle on 1wrestlingradio.com, newly announced WWE Hall of Fame candidate Tammy “Sunny” Sytch will be the host of this year’s ECWA Super 8 tournament.

For Sytch, the journey to the Super 8 has been a long and winding one. A longtime valet in WWE ECW,WCW, and a number of independent promotions, Sytch went from a virtual unknown in the wrestling world (if not for the work of Pro Wrestling Illustrated) to one of WWE’s most popular performers and–in many people’s eyes–WWE’s ORIGINAL Diva. Now … she can add Hall of Famer to her list of accolades. Continue reading → Post ID 32713

  • Hart Says He Would Have NO PROBLEM Inducting HBK Into the HOF

Posted on 02/03/2011 by bradyhicks Comment

Some food for thought from my friend–and Wrestling-Online Newsletter editor–Colin Vasallo. I can remember a few yeas ago when Shawn suggested Bret could one day induct him, and everybody laughed. It’s funny how things can change over time.

Appearing on the LAW audio show, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hit Man” Hart said that if he is asked to induct Shawn Michaels into the
Hall of Fame this year he would have no problem at all. “The truth is Shawn was a great wrestler and I had a lot of great matches with him. I’m proud of some of the great memories I had with Shawn and I would be happy to induct him into the Hall of Fame if they asked me to,” the former WWE champion said. Hart buried the hatchet with Michaels last year during a powerful segment on the first Monday Night RAW of 2010, Bret’s first WWE television appearance since November 1997.
